About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Java/J2EE Developer with at least 7 years of experience in enterprise application development, solution design, and systems integration.
You will build secure, scalable, and high-performing applications supporting credit risk and banking operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.Support credit assessment, decisioning, exposure monitoring, limit management, risk calculations, and regulatory reporting.Build and integrate microservices, REST/SOAP APIs, batch processes, and event-driven services.Work with Servlets, JSP, EJB, JMS, JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, and application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, or WildFly.Translate business, security, data, and regulatory requirements into effective technical solutions and architecture designs.Integrate with core banking systems, data platforms, rules engines, and third-party services.Apply best practices for performance, scalability, security, resilience, auditability, and maintainability.Develop automated tests, conduct code reviews, support CI/CD and production releases, and mentor junior developers.Create reusable Java libraries, APIs, design patterns, templates, and engineering standards.
Required Experience
Strong expertise in Java 8+, J2EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.Experience with microservices, SOA, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.Proficiency in Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server, including SQL and query optimization.Experience with Kafka, JMS, or RabbitMQ.Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, Maven/Gradle, Git, and CI/CD.Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, cloud platforms, and observability tools.Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, RBAC, and secure coding.Strong understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, clean architecture, and domain-driven design.Ability to produce clear technical documentation using UML, C4, or equivalent modelling methods.
Banking and Credit Risk Knowledge
Experience in banking, fintech, financial services, or another regulated industry is required.
Candidates should understand the credit lifecycle and areas such as credit decisioning, scoring, exposure, limits, collateral, defaults, expected credit loss, and regulatory reporting.Familiarity with PD, LGD, EAD, Expected Loss, IFRS 9, Basel II/III, data lineage, reconciliation, traceability, and audit controls is highly desirable.Experience with credit risk platforms, business rules engines, Spring Batch, or high-volume financial data processing would be an advantage.
