Through innovation, customer-centric thinking, and close collaboration across engineering, product management, and design, we help shape the next generation of premium electric mobility.Your RoleYou will support the development of Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions for Mercedes-Benz charging systems, with a primary focus on charging products in the North American market (NAFTA). Working closely with Product Managers, engineers, and international stakeholders, you will help transform customer needs and technical requirements into intuitive and engaging digital experiences.Your ResponsibilitiesDesign UX/UI solutions for global charging products, with a primary focus on NAFTACreate user journeys, interaction concepts, screen flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designsDesign experiences across charging, payment, connectivity, and digital servicesSupport implementation and validation activities on charging hardware and software platformsCollaborate with development teams and external partnersAnalyze and optimize technical requirements, workflows, and system interactionsSupport usability testing, prototype evaluations, and customer feedback sessionsApply a data-driven mindset by understanding how customer feedback, usability findings, behavioral data, and system performance indicators support product decisionsOrganize and facilitate workshops that bring together Product Management, UX, Engineering, and external partners to co-create customer-centric charging experiencesExplore how charging experiences can be integrated into future software-defined vehicle ecosystems through intelligent interfaces, connected services, digital assistants, and data-driven customer journeysStay up to date with UX, frontend development, HMI technologies, AI-supported workflows, and emerging digital mobility trendsThe activity can begin from October 1st 2026.QualifikationenStudent in Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Media Informatics, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a comparable fieldStrong interest in designing and building customer-facing digital productsUnderstanding of user-centered design principles and usability methodologiesExperience with Figma or similar UX/UI tools is requiredBasic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or comparable frameworks) is beneficialInterest in electric mobility, charging systems, connected services, and software-defined vehiclesWhat We Are Looking ForCurious and eager to learn, exploring new technologies, customer needs, and product ideas with an open mindsetResponsible and willing to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality resultsSupportive and collaborative, contributing to a positive team environmentFlexible and adaptable, comfortable working across design, technical, and product-related topicsCombines creativity with analytical thinking and a data-driven mindsetInterested in digital products, connected services, future mobility experiences, and AI-supported innovationWhat Makes This Position ExcitingContribute directly to customer-facing products used by Mercedes-Benz customers, experience real-world HMI development from concept to implementation, collaborate internationally, and help shape the future of intelligent mobility and charging experiences.Additional Information:We look forward to receiving your online application, including a resume, cover letter, certificates, current certificate of enrollment stating your semester, proof of mandatory internship if applicable, and proof of the standard period of study.
