12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Hybrid - London (2 days per week) Salary up to £61,000 + Exceptional Pension & Generous Holiday Allowance We're working with a prestigious organisation seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to help build and operate a modern cloud-native platform that underpins AI, automation and integration services across a large-scale enterprise environment. This is an opportunity to join a greenfield engineering programme where you'll play a key role in shaping a Kubernetes platform built on Microsoft Azure using modern DevOps and platform engineering practices. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative engineering team, helping deliver a secure, scalable and highly reliable platform that will support a major strategic transformation programme. The Role You'll be responsible for building, operating and continuously improving a shared Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) platform used by application, AI and integration engineering teams. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you'll help deliver a secure, scalable and highly reliable platform through automation, Infrastructure as Code and GitOps. What You'll Be Doing Build, operate and enhance Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as CodeDevelop and support GitOps CI/CD pipelinesManage Kubernetes networking, service mesh and gateway technologiesSupport observability using Grafana, Prometheus and OpenTelemetryMaintain platform security, reliability and automationParticipate in incident response and continuous platform improvementCollaborate with architects and engineering teams to drive platform best practice What We're Looking For You'll have strong commercial experience with: Kubernetes and cloud-native platform engineeringMicrosoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Terraform and Infrastructure as CodeDocker, GitOps and CI/CD pipelinesLinux and Bash scriptingGrafana, Prometheus and OpenTelemetryKubernetes networking and service mesh technologiesProduction platform operations and troubleshooting Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: CiliumIstioArgoCD or FluxKafka or RedpandaHelm and KustomizePython automationPolicy as Code (OPA/Gatekeeper or Kyverno) What's on Offer Salary up to £61,000Very generous pension schemeExcellent annual leave entitlementHybrid working (2 days per week in London)Opportunity to shape a greenfield cloud-native platformModern Azure and Kubernetes technology stackCollaborative, high-performing engineering teamLong-term strategic programme with excellent career development If you're passionate about Kubernetes, Azure and building reliable cloud-native platforms, we'd love to hear from you.
