Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCPBuild and automate cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and cloud-native deployment workflowsMonitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency using cloud-native monitoring toolsConfigure and manage cloud networking, identity and access management, data protection, and security controls in line with enterprise standardsCollaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to enable cloud adoption and modernize enterprise workloadsPlan and support cloud migration initiatives, including workload assessment, migration execution, testing, and post-migration optimizationImplement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities for cloud-hosted platformsTroubleshoot cloud platform and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term improvementsDocument cloud architectures, deployment procedures, operational processes, and support runbooksEvaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to platform performance, resilience, security, and cost efficiencyPerforms other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time. Qualifications Cloud platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud-native services.Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools for automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration.Cloud networking and security: Solid understanding of VPC/VNet architecture, load balancers, firewalls, identity and access management, encryption, and security controls.DevOps and automation: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, automation scripting, and continuous deployment practices.Containers and orchestration: Experience or exposure to Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, Redhat and container-based deployment environments.Workload migration: Experience migrating enterprise workloads from legacy and virtualized environments, including AS400 and VMware.Infrastructure operations: Proficiency in Linux or Windows administration, networking, virtualization, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.Monitoring and cost management: Experience using cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, and cost-management tools to improve operational efficiency.Required certificates: Certificate AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator - Associate, Google Cloud Engineer - Associate, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2024 Certified Architect Associate Certification Remark: This position requires a criminal record information check prior consideration for employment to ensure safety and maintain standards of the organization.
