About The Role
Our Site Reliability teams solve a broad range of challenges, from keeping the infrastructure behind Bolt’s backend services reliable to continuously improving how we operate at scale.
The Site Reliability Cloud team is responsible for the reliability, availability, scalability, and efficient operation of Bolt’s cloud infrastructure and services.
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will help design, automate, and operate our infrastructure across GCP and AWS.
You will apply cloud governance and reliability best practices, participate in an on-call rotation, and collaborate with engineering teams to keep our cloud services secure, resilient, observable, and efficient.
You will occasionally encounter complex operational challenges without obvious solutions, so curiosity, sound judgement, and creative problem-solving are essential.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
Architecting, developing, and operating Bolt’s cloud infrastructure and networking across GCP and AWSBuilding reliable and maintainable infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and other infrastructure-as-code toolingImproving the reliability, scalability, security, observability, and cost efficiency of our cloud servicesParticipating in the on-call rotation, resolving production incidents, and turning operational learnings into lasting improvementsLeading infrastructure and reliability initiatives from identifying a problem through implementation and operational ownershipCollaborating with engineering teams, contributing to technical decisions, and sharing knowledge and best practices
About You
You have strong hands-on experience operating production infrastructure in public clouds, with very good operational knowledge of GCP, AWS, or bothYou are proficient with Terraform and Ansible and build clean, secure, testable, and maintainable infrastructure automationYou have a solid understanding of cloud networking, Linux systems, security, observability, and distributed systemsYou can troubleshoot complex production issues, make sound decisions under pressure, and think creatively when the solution is not obviousYou use data, metrics, and operational evidence to guide decisions and measure improvementsYou take ownership of initiatives and drive them through the difficult last mile to a reliable production outcome, communicating clearly and collaborating effectively with people from different technical backgrounds along the way
