Description

Job Description Our eCommerce Tech team at Head Office is looking for experienced front-end developers to join the team. The Role: Our eCommerce team is responsible for developing and managing the NEXT and Total Platform websites and mobile applications. These are built in-house and managed by our central support teams. You will join the user interface optimisation team, focusing on the continual delivery of functionality. Experimental Feature Development : You’ll primarily be maintaining, developing, publishing and supporting experimental client-side functional features within our Bloomreach digital experience platform. Normally these are time-limited to see if we can achieve statistical significance and help the business decide if they want to invest time in permanently embedding the feature into the website. Technical Execution : There will be a heavy emphasis on intercepting and overriding existing features or injecting new features using CSS, HTML and JavaScript, whilst making sure the code is performant and does not impact the rest of the page, the user experience, or the efficiency of development teams. Continuous Improvement : As a passionate developer you’ll have a keen mindset to improve and you’ll enjoy working as part of a team. Comfortable with modern technologies and tooling, you’ll use best practices to improve the way we work. Collaboration and Support : You will help provide development support to internal users, as well as offering out-of-hours cover during seasonal events and busy trading periods. You’ll also use your expertise and experience to help us continually improve our processes and working practices, actively enabling the department to become as efficient and effective as it can be.
