Front-End Engineer - 6 month contract

⏰ 6 month contract 📍 Melbourne, hybrid (3 days onsite) 💻 React, Next.js, Tailwind The company A major retailer running a dedicated initiative to lift the speed and performance of its web platform. Website performance is a genuine priority here, not a side project, so the work has real backing and visibility. The role You'll join a team focused on making the site faster and smoother for customers, especially on mobile and lower powered devices. Paired day to day with an experienced engineer, you'll be hands on with performance improvements, page weight, rendering and responsiveness, using Core Web Vitals and real customer data to help prioritise the work. Part of the brief includes helping migrate the codebase off styled-components and onto Tailwind CSS.
