Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer Location: Hybrid – West Midlands (approx. twice per month) Salary: £55,000 - £62,000 Tech: Azure, Terraform or Bicep, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, Azure Networking, PowerShell, CI/CD, PaaS, IaaS *No visa sponsorship provided and must be based in the UK to be considered* The Company Our client is a well-established organisation undergoing an exciting cloud transformation, with technology playing a central role in the future of the business. They're continuing to invest heavily in Microsoft Azure and are looking for an Azure Platform Engineer to help build, automate and evolve a secure, scalable cloud platform. This is an opportunity to join a technically strong team where you'll have genuine influence over how cloud infrastructure is designed, deployed and managed. The Role This is a hands-on Platform Engineering role with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code, automation and cloud engineering. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining Azure infrastructure using modern DevOps practices, helping to create repeatable, scalable and secure cloud environments. Working closely with Development, Security and Networking teams, you'll improve deployment processes, automate infrastructure provisioning and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Azure platform. If you enjoy replacing manual processes with automation and building cloud infrastructure the right way, you'll fit in well here. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as CodeBuild and maintain reusable Terraform or Bicep templates for cloud resourcesAutomate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using PowerShell and Azure toolingDevelop and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deploymentsManage Azure networking including Virtual Networks, NSGs, Load Balancers and Application GatewaysSupport Azure PaaS and IaaS services across production environmentsContribute to container-based platforms, with exposure to Kubernetes being highly desirableEnsure cloud environments remain secure, resilient and compliant with best practiceCollaborate with Development, Security and Infrastructure teams to deliver reliable platform servicesSupport monitoring, optimisation and continuous improvement across the Azure estate About You You're an experienced Azure Platform, DevOps or Cloud Engineer who enjoys building cloud infrastructure through code rather than manual configuration. You'll have strong Azure experience and be passionate about automation, modern cloud practices and delivering robust, scalable infrastructure. Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience working with Microsoft AzureProven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or BicepExperience automating infrastructure deployments using PowerShell or similar scripting languagesStrong understanding of Azure networking, identity and cloud securityExperience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologiesExposure to Kubernetes or containerised workloads would be highly beneficialExperience with Azure PaaS and IaaS servicesKnowledge of monitoring, governance and cloud best practicesMicrosoft Azure certifications would be advantageous but are not essential Why Apply?
