Full Time Toronto, ON / Remote $70k-90k Role Summary We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our growing technology team. You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining software solutions that power our logistics operations and enhance our customers' experience. Key Responsibilities Software Development Design, develop, and maintain web applications using modern technologiesBuild and integrate APIs for internal and external systemsDevelop database solutions and optimize database performanceCreate responsive user interfaces for web and mobile platformsWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code System Integration Integrate with third-party logistics and shipping APIsDevelop interfaces between fulfillment center management systems and customer platformsBuild automation tools to streamline operational processesImplement data synchronization between different systemsWork with EDI and various data formats commonly used in logistics Quality Assurance Write comprehensive unit tests and integration testsParticipate in code reviews and maintain coding standardsDebug and resolve software issues in development and production environmentsMonitor application performance and implement optimizationsEnsure software security best practices are followed Collaboration & Innovation Work closely with operations team to understand business requirementsCollaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly interfacesParticipate in agile development processes and sprint planningContribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharingStay current with emerging technologies and industry trends Technical Requirements Programming Languages Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.jsExperience with Python or JavaKnowledge of SQL and database query optimizationFamiliarity with HTML5, CSS3, and modern CSS frameworksUnderstanding of RESTful API development Frameworks & Tools Experience with React, Vue.js, or AngularKnowledge of Express.js or similar backend frameworksFamiliarity with version control systems (Git)Experience with database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) Logistics Industry Knowledge (Preferred) Understanding of fulfillment center management systems (WMS)Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS)Familiarity with EDI standards and logistics data formatsExperience with shipping APIs (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Canada Post, etc.)Understanding of inventory management concepts Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field3-5 years of professional software development experienceExperience with full-stack developmentPortfolio of completed projects demonstrating technical skills Technical Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilitiesExperience with agile development methodologiesKnowledge of software testing principles and practicesUnderstanding of database design and optimizationFamiliarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Soft Skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAdaptability and willingness to learn new technologiesCustomer-focused mindset What We Offer Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $70,000 -
