ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of our client, is seeking for a Back End Developer with strong skills in Laravel Our client is an innovative travel-tech company that offers cultural and immersive experiences for museums, cities, and heritage sites through mobile apps and audio guides. 📌 Location: Athens City Center – Easily accessible by Metro 📍 Working Model: Hybrid (3 days in the office 2 days from home)  🖋️ Reporting to: Head of IT What will you do: As a Back End Laravel Developer, you will join the IT Team and contribute to the evolution of their core platform and services. This role goes beyond feature development and includes ownership of backend systems, contribution to architectural decisions, and active involvement in API integrations and system scalability. The core platform is currently a monolithic system, and its evolution into scalable, modular services is already underway. This role will play an active part in this ongoing refactoring effort and broader system transformation. More specifically you will: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Laravel Take ownership of features and services, from design to deployment Contribute to the evolution of the core platform into modular subsystems Work on API integrations with external/internal partners and systems Contribute to documentation, monitoring and troubleshooting Write and maintain unit tests and automated testing Participate in CI/CD processes and deployment workflows Help maintain and improve the overall architecture of the ecosystem Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in backend development with PHP / Laravel Strong understanding of APIs (REST) and system integrations Solid knowledge of database design and performance (MySQL) Experience working with complex or legacy systems Ability to take ownership and work independently Experience with Docker Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with Git-based workflows Experience debugging and maintaining production systems Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to internal teams, external partners, and non-technical stakeholders Excellent command of Greek and English languages Any experience in the following will be considered an asset Experience with third-party integrations (APIs, webhooks) Familiarity with AWS or cloud environments Experience in refactoring monolithic systems Exposure to event-driven architectures Experience with monitoring and logging tools Experience integrating with booking systems, ticketing platforms and SaaS platforms.  Benefits Competitive compensation package Private health insurance Healthy work–life balance and respectful working hours Ηybrid Working model Professional development opportunities in a dynamic environment Modern and friendly work environment 👥 Recruitment Process: If you’re interested in this role, feel free to apply directly.
