The CXP team, formed through the merger of the Capture and Partner Products teams, is responsible for the data capture platforms that power home loan applications and non-mortgage products.
The team builds and maintains the systems that enable brokers and customers to submit information through TeamView and CustomerView, transforming and integrating that data before sending it to lenders.
Beyond mortgages, they also support products such as asset finance, general insurance and life insurance using the same core platform and integration capabilities.
A key focus of the role will be a major greenfield domain services migration, reimagining the existing application architecture, migrating databases, and modernising the platform.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll join a multi-disciplinary engineering team that will be designing, developing and deploying systems that drive agentic workflows within the property buying and owning, mortgage broking and financial services sectors.
Working at the intersection of software engineering, AI and data, you'll help build intelligent, scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experiences.
Please note this is a 12 month fixed term role.

Play a leading role in driving the engineering team's rhythm and processes, from planning and resource allocation to design, coding, deployment, and ongoing support.

This includes being proactive in debugging, monitoring, and ensuring the utmost reliability in our production environment.
Qualifications
Proficiency in TypeScript, with solid experience across Node.js back-end services and modern React front-ends.Experience working with document databases, ideally MongoDB (schema design, indexing, performance, and/or change-stream or event patterns).Strong experience building and operating services on AWS, including containerised workloads, networking, observability, and CI-driven deployments.Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures (e.g.
Kafka or similar), including designing resilient, asynchronous workflows.Experience designing, building, and evolving HTTP APIs and data contracts, including backwards-compatible changes and integration with multiple consumers.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including automated testing, trunk-based development, and feature-flagged releases.Experience working with third-party APIs, vendors, and partner platforms, including technical due diligence, integration design, and troubleshooting.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across multiple services and integrations, using logs, metrics, and traces effectively.Experience with at least one secondary language (e.g.
Kotlin) and a track record of learning new stacks and tools quickly.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholder
