Go Developer

We are looking for a Go Developer for a client in the banking industry in the Netherlands. In this role, you will join the team responsible for the Developer Self-Service Platform (DSSP), a platform that helps thousands of developers onboard to the organization's CI/CD tooling and automates key development processes. You will design, build, and maintain backend microservices written in Go (Golang), helping improve the platform's performance, scalability, and reliability. Working closely with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders, you'll contribute to the technical direction of the platform while delivering high-quality software that enhances the developer experience across the organisation. Your Job Designing, building, implementing, and maintaining backend microservices using Go (Golang)Developing and improving backend API servicesWorking with Go frameworks such as Gin and related librariesCollaborating with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutionsContributing to architecture decisions and technical improvementsEnsuring code quality through testing, code reviews, and engineering best practicesSupporting CI/CD pipelines and automationIdentifying and resolving performance, scalability, and reliability issuesHelping strengthen Go development expertise within the teamSupporting the continuous improvement of the Developer Self-Service Platform used by thousands of developers Your Profile 3–5 years of experience developing software with Go (Golang)Strong experience building backend API servicesExperience developing REST APIsExperience with Go frameworks such as GinFamiliarity with libraries such as Uber Zap, HTTP Mock, and MockeryUnderstanding of microservices architecture and distributed systemsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsGood understanding of infrastructure conceptsExperience with scripting (Shell) and programming languages such as Python or JavaKnowledge of OAuth implementation for backend APIs is a plusExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud platforms is a plusFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesKnowledge of monitoring, observability, and security best practices is a plusStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetFluent in English We Offer Hybrid working environmentSalary up to €5,700 based on 36 hours25 vacation days Our Client Our client is a leading financial institution with a strong focus on innovation and sustainable growth, operating both locally and globally.
