About The Role You will be working in a cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build on-prem and cloud native applications for the financial services industry. We are looking for true team players who can work beyond their specialty to help the team deliver. Every team member is responsible for the quality of the product and should be willing to work on any tasks needed, be it front-end, back end, test automation, deployment automation, etc. The successful candidate will use their experience and talent to help drive the delivery of the system, introduce new tech and guide the evolution of our applications. Responsibilities Your Role: You will participate and contribute on all team activities such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Execution, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint RetrospectiveDevelop front end React componentsDevelop and test server-side code using NodeJs + TypescriptBe comfortable using relational databases and have strong knowledge of SQLPerform peer reviews and ensure the quality of the team’s workDesign and implement unit, integration, and automation testsResponsible for code integration and code deployment of existing modules as well as provide new pipelines for new modules (CI/CD)Have strong background in AWS services and practices.Provide technical leadership to other team membersBreak-down complex functionalities into granular tasks and storiesStay current on emerging technologies and be able to match them to Citco need when required Qualifications About You: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent5+ years of experience with software engineering3+ years of experience with NodeJS + Typescript3+ years of experience with ReactExperience with DockerExperience developing server-side applications using Node.js frameworks such as or similar to NestJS/HonoSolid understanding of HTML5, ES6, CSS3, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworksExperience with source code management such as GITExperience with relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL)Experience working on Agile teamsSolid understanding and demonstrated proficiency with core software development processes - debugging, code tuning, code management and branching, coding styles and refactoringMust be self-motivated and driven, with strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.Knowledge of financial industry, specially accounting / general ledger will be preferred.
