Role overview: We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our TV Platform team and contribute to the development of next-generation Smart TV experiences. In this role, you will work on video advertising flows, FAST channel playback, browser integration, OTT streaming solutions, and platform-level features. You will collaborate with international teams to deliver high-quality user experiences across connected TV devices. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain launcher video advertising control flows and FAST channel playback featuresImplement and enhance browser integration within the TV platform ecosystemDesign, develop, and optimize HTML-based OTT streaming playback solutionsDevelop platform features and contribute to the evolution of Smart TV capabilitiesIntegrate device functionality with backend services through HTTP/HTTPS and JSON-based communicationEnsure smooth playback experiences across various streaming technologies and content formatsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams across multiple locations and time zones Requirements What makes you a great fit: At least 5 years of experience developing applications or platform features for Smart TVs, connected devices, or embedded systemsExperience with C and/or C++ developmentStrong knowledge of HTML5 and JavaScript for feature development and UI/UX implementationUnderstanding of Smart TV platforms and Linux-based TV operating systemsExperience with HTTP/HTTPS protocols and JSON-based communication with backend servicesFamiliarity with OTT streaming technologies and playback workflows, including:MSE (Media Source Extensions)EME (Encrypted Media Extensions)MPEG-DASHKnowledge of video playback architectures and streaming control flowsA proactive and solution-oriented mindsetStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively in a multicultural and globally distributed environment Desirable skills: Understanding of digital video advertising technologies and FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) servicesFamiliarity with browser engines and web-based application frameworks Benefits Reasons to apply: Competitive compensationCompany benefitsFriendly, diverse, and international work environmentOpportunity to work outside of your comfort zone and develop professionally in an exciting and fast-growing CTV industryChange the future of TV!
