Project Engineer

About The Role Support and execute project engineering activities across the full project lifecycle - from concept to handover - including FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning, ensuring delivery in line with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and Value Assurance Process (VAP) requirements. The role involves close coordination with engineering disciplines, Central Engineering, licensors, contractors, vendors, and operations teams to ensure effective technical execution, compliance with ADNOC standards, and timely project completion. Key Accountabilities Project Engineering and Execution Support all phases of project delivery from concept through to commissioning and handoverContribute to development of Statement of Requirements (SOR) and project execution strategiesAssist in preparation of tender documents and evaluation of engineering consultants, PMC, and EPC contractorsReview contractor engineering deliverables, construction strategies, and methodologies to ensure compliance with scope and specificationsMonitor engineering, procurement, and construction progress and identify potential bottlenecks with recommended corrective actionsSupport value engineering, constructability reviews, and project workshops Coordination & Stakeholder Management Coordinate with licensors, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholdersParticipate in project meetings and technical reviewsSupport alignment between Engineering, Operations, and Project teams Project Control, Contracts & Cost Monitor contractor performance, invoices, and project costs in coordination with cost teamsEvaluate contractor claims and support negotiation and contract close-outTrack project variations, risks, and trends impacting cost and schedule Risk, Quality & Compliance Facilitate risk analysis, PHSER, and ATR reviews in line with ADNOC proceduresEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards across project activitiesSupport implementation of HSE requirements during engineering and execution phases Reporting & Documentation Maintain project documentation, records, and close-out documentationSupport preparation of progress reports for management Construction, Commissioning & Handover Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with contractors and operations teamsReview commissioning procedures, documentation, and readiness plansMonitor punch list closure and ensure completion of construction and commissioning activitiesFacilitate handover of project facilities to Operations and support start-up activities Minimum Requirements Bachelor Degree in EngineeringAt least 6 years in projects management in an oil and gas industryStrong ability to coordinate and support multi-disciplinary project executionEffective monitoring of contractor performance and deliverablesProactive identification of engineering and execution risksAbility to ensure technical compliance and quality assuranceStrong collaboration with project, engineering, and operations teamsGain full understanding of project portfolio, engineering scope, and contractor interfacesSupport timely delivery of engineering and project activities across assigned projectsImprove coordination between engineering, procurement, and execution teamsContribute to reduction of project delays through proactive issue identification and resolutionEnsure accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance with ADNOC project requirements
