Job Opportunity: Data Engineer (ETL/GCP) Location: Cracow, hybrid model (2 office days per week) Type of contract: B2B English: B2+ Role Overview We’re looking for a GCP Data Engineer / ETL Engineer to build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in Google Cloud. The role focuses on transforming data from multiple sources into reliable datasets used for reporting, analytics and business decision-making. Responsibilities Design, develop, test and deploy data models and transformations in Google Cloud, mainly in BigQuery.Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for processing raw and semi-structured data.Transform, enrich and optimize data to make it suitable for reporting, analytics and end-user consumption.Work with Data Vault modelling principles and support scalable data warehouse structures.Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, files, APIs and cloud services.Monitor data pipelines, identify failures or performance issues and implement improvements.Optimize SQL queries and data processing logic for performance, scalability and cost efficiency.Manage code and deployment processes using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible and Google Secret Manager. Requirements Hands-on experience with SQL development and optimization, ideally in BigQuery.Strong experience in building, testing and deploying ETL/ELT data pipelines.Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and data processing services.Experience with Data Vault modelling or similar data warehouse modelling approaches.Hands-on experience with Cloud Composer/Airflow, Cloud Run and Pub/Sub.Good working knowledge of Python and Terraform.Experience with CI/CD processes and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible and Git.Understanding of DataOps practices, data quality, monitoring and production-ready data solutions.
