Java Full Stack Application Developer Location: Helsinki, Finland Work Model: Hybrid (Up to 25% Remote) Assignment Period: 26 Oct 2026 – 31 Dec 2027 (Long-term) Allocation: 100% (Full-time / 37.5 hours/week) Security Standard: High Security / Enterprise Standard Compliance About the Role: We are seeking a Full Stack Application Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and Java to join a long-term enterprise development initiative.In this role, you will design, build, and maintain high-availability, fault-tolerant microservices and modern web applications within complex multi-vendor environments. Core Responsibilities: Backend Development: Architect and implement scalable microservices using Kotlin (primary focus), Java, and Spring Boot, supporting REST/JSON and SOAP/XML integrations.Frontend Engineering: Build responsive, modern user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.Cloud & DevOps: Manage cloud deployments on AWS using Kubernetes, NGINX, Terraform/CloudFormation, Ansible, Linux, and CI/CD automation pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bash).Data Management: Work with relational databases (SQL) and in-memory stores (Redis).Security & Quality: Maintain robust security standards (VAHTI/OWASP guidelines, SAML2/OpenID SSO, code reviews) and ensure test coverage via unit and integration testing. Candidate Profile: Core Backend Stack: Senior-level experience with Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP APIs, and microservices architecture.Frontend & DevOps: Hands-on proficiency with React, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, NGINX, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation, Ansible).Security & Testing: Strong knowledge of secure coding guidelines, SSO integration (SAML2/OIDC), and automated unit/integration testing.Languages: Fluent in Finnish and English (both written and spoken) is required. Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus): Experience with high-availability, continuous production, or classified (high-security) environments. Familiarity with mTLS, RabbitMQ, JWT-based APIs, Shibboleth, or serverless tools (AWS Lambda).Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, AWS RDS/Aurora, database migrations, or public sector compliance frameworks (e.g., SÄHKE2, Information Management Act).Exposure to E2E test automation, TDD, or security testing tools (OWASP, Burp).
