Senior QC Engineer ( Software Testing )

The Senior Quality Control Engineer will ensure that products are designed, built, and produced in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements. This position is typically offered full time and reports to QA Lead. Those well-suited to this career enjoy problem-solving and working collaboratively with others. Responsibilities Perform Tests: perform a variety of tests, such as, smoke, regression, integration, and performance, cross browser, cross platform and responsive testing (PC, mobile and tablet), API testing, and any needed test per the test plan to confirm the stability of software systemsReport Bugs: report clear bugs and track them using tools like DevOpsPerform Automation: generate automation scripts. They research and use tools with the goal of increasing automationWork with Team Members: work collaboratively with QC, development, and business groups to complete testingDesign Test Case: Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases, and review test case written by joiners or mid-levelSend test results report, after confirming it with QA leadDocumentation: Building project documentation such as user ManualsParticipating in full life cycle developmentPerforming business requirements review and verificationProblem SolvingStatic testingConduct UATPerformance testingMentors and trains junior quality control engineers on policies and procedures and create tasks for themIdentifies the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actionsPerforms other duties as assignedArchitecting new automated test strategies and frameworks, in addition to creating, implementing and automating testing in support of software test requirementsdevelop, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework and automation infrastructureexecute and report on planned tests, report and manage defects, regress software fixes for new and existing productsAssist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop new test automation solutions as neededdemonstrates innovation, leadership, and mentorship skills in addition to possessing a strong technical and programming/test automation skill setMay assist with performance evaluations Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or information technology, or equivalent education and work experienceProfessional certification, such as ISTQB-CTFL ISTQB-CTALProblem-solving skills - QC testers have strong problem-solving skills that allow them to test software, identify bugs, and solve errorsAutomation experience - Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium Web Driver. They have experience developing automation scriptsFamiliarity with testing - QC testers are knowledgeable of testing phases and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-endProgramming - QC testers may use programming languages to write tests as necessary, so they should have experience programming and codingTeamwork - working with other groups, QC testers have strong communication skills that allow them to collaborate with others. They communicate problems and coordinate with QC, development, and business groups to ensure products are free of errorsAble to multi-task, triage issues, react well to changes, work independently or in a team setting in a fast-paced environmentAbility to travel outside Jordan according to business needsExcellent command of written and spoken EnglishHand-on experience with SQL commands
