Fully Remote Contract — Possible Convert to Hire US Citizenship Required This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines, supporting cloud infrastructure, and developing automation around it. The engineer will focus on building reliability, scalability, and observability around deployed software applications, while improving operational efficiencies and implementing security controls by design. ? Critical Requirements Must be a US Citizen — no dual citizens5+ years of hands-on cloud experience in production environmentsAWS experience strongly preferred Job Responsibilities Architect, build, and provision cloud infrastructureBuild infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principlesDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software applicationsManage containerized environments using Docker and introduce orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) as scale requiresImplement security into deployments by design, including IAM, encryption, and network segmentationImplement monitoring and observability to track system health, performance, and reliabilitySupport database operations including scaling, backups, and recovery Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field5+ years of strong hands-on cloud experience, preferably AWS, in production environmentsIn-depth understanding of Docker and containerization workflows, including KubernetesExperience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitLab RunnerSolid scripting skills in Bash and/or PythonExperience supporting MS-SQL or similar relational databasesStrong understanding of security fundamentals and access management Technical Skills AWS Cloud (Production) Docker & Kubernetes CI/CD — Argo CD, Jenkins, GitLab Runner Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Bash & Python Scripting MS-SQL / Relational Databases IAM, Encryption & Network Segmentation Monitoring & Observability
