Senior Cloud Engineer

Remote Work l Initial Contract until June 2027 l Brisbane Our client is in the market for a Senior Cloud Engineer to implement digitally enabled whole-of-government services that deliver simpler connected platforms. Contracted till EOFY with possibility of extensionRemote Work AvailableBased in Brisbane This role would suit someone with a background in software development, strong AWS & CDK experience, and the ability to identify application impacts and changes to communicate them to the development team. Your day to day: Provide expert AWS Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps engineering services, supporting internal and external stakeholders in delivering secure, reliable cloud platforms.Lead the development of cloud architecture solutions, providing technical guidance and presenting solution designs to stakeholders and customers.Support Cloud and DevOps delivery, including customer onboarding, cloud solution design, and the evaluation of emerging technologies.Experience in developing solutions in disciplines such as Digital Identity, and API Data Sharing (e.g. financial grade APIs), including Developer PortalsExperience and solid understanding of Applications Development using modern front-end frameworks and full stack approaches.Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodeDeploy, AWS CodePipelines and strong AWS administrator skills (Infrastructure deployments, applications, software updates).Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and recommendations to improve cloud platforms, infrastructure, and engineering practices.
