You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed. The Associate, Quantitative Developer will be a member of the Quantitative Investment Science team, building both the user-facing applications of our cloud-based investment analytics platform and the foundations beneath them - APIs, backend services, data integrations, and cloud infrastructure. The role spans designing intuitive, data-rich workflows and reusable UI components as well as the services and pipelines that power them. This engineer will translate business requirements into reliable, performant, and maintainable solutions, select the appropriate tools and technologies, and use prototypes to evaluate new approaches. The ideal candidate is someone who has: Strong analytical skills and curiosity about how systems work end to endExperience building modern web applications and reusable UI components using React and TypeScriptStrong SQL skills, including complex queries and data access patternsPython experience building enterprise-level, production-quality softwareExcellent collaboration skills - you'll work closely with product and development to shape requirements and deliver solutionsAttention to detail and systematic thinkingA love for turning requirements into well-defined, durable systemsFamiliarity with data modeling, data management, and data warehouse conceptsExperience developing applications on Azure or comparable cloud environments using Git, CI/CD, and other DevOps practicesExperience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Azure Event Grid, or equivalent is a plusInterest in finance and building efficient products that users love What you will do: Design, build, and maintain user-facing applications and the backend services and APIs that support themDevelop reusable UI components and shared platform capabilities used across applicationsSupport gradual rollouts and feature flags to ship changes safely as the platform evolvesBuild and improve data pipelines and integrations across the platform, and contribute to logical and physical data modelsWork directly with product and design to understand problems, shape requirements, and turn them into clear technical designsPartner with product to review, triage, and resolve issues and defectsManage delivery expectations and drive projects through completionContribute to a strong engineering culture through code review, knowledge sharing, and documentation that lets teams build with confidenceImprove developer tooling, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability (logging, metrics, and telemetry) that keep applications and services reliable Education Preferred Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or equivalent experienceBachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent experience Experience 3+ years of professional software development experience building data-rich platforms or products3+ years of SQL using complex queries against large datasets3+ years of Python and/or TypeScript experience Base Salary Range $160,000.00 - $165,000.00 This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
