Engineering Manager

As such, we are seeking an Engineering Manager to be part of this mission. Let's talk about responsibilities: A hands-on role with coding when possible while managing & coaching a team of engineersLearn each workflow’s system architecture of key integrations, configurations, and upstream/downstream impactsOwn your team’s delivery and outcome and are fully empowered to deliverTake pride in your team’s solutions and in hitting delivery targetsAnalyse requirements and collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineers to produce thoughtful software designs with considerable scope and high complexityResponsible for guarding, promoting, and establishing best practices within the teamAssist with project estimation, planning and progressCommunicate clearly and promptly when work hits roadblocks or risks arise that must be managedMay be part of an on-call support rotation Qualification and Experience: Degree in Computer Science or related disciplineExperienced People Manager, you take ownership of issues, work to find solutions, and collaborate well with team members and cross-functional groupsExperience leading a software development team through multiple product/platform releasesExperience making significant individual contributions as a Senior Engineer to real-world software developmentInterface with other project stakeholders to ensure the system objectives are balanced with overall project objectivesProvide product design leadership for the project team, including ongoing design and implementation reviewExperience with NoSQL databasesExperience development and delivery at a large scaleExperience building scalable, available, and low-latency cloud-native systemsExperience in using AI coding assistants such as GitHub CopilotExperience using AI to solve operational and business problemsExperience with messaging systems (pub/sub-queues, request/response) and data streaming What you can expect: A supportive environment that focuses on people development and best practices.Opportunity to design, influence and be innovative.Work with global teams and share new ideas.Be supported both inside and outside of the work environment.The opportunity to build something meaningful and see a direct impact on people’s lives Joining us is more than saying “yes” to making the world a healthier place.
