Job details
The objective of this role is to assist in the uplift of critical CMS letter and decision templates and in the remediation and implementation of urgent updates and changes to applications, systems, and other capabilities and functions.
This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility and understanding during a period of substantial organisational change.
Key duties and responsibilities
Utilise JIRA and Scrum or Kanban approaches to deliver tasks, changes and products to ensuring delivery of high-quality products and user experience (where possible)Work closely with business, technology and corporate service users to help identify causal problems and requirements to ensure the right problem is solved (with technology)Make and contribute ideas, innovation and suggestions to resolve a list of simple to complex challenges with consideration to short-, medium- and long-term approaches and solutions.Work closely with the Director Platforms, Cyber Security and Support teams to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, reporting requirements, risk management and identify and seek exemptions where required.
Specialist Accountabilities
Re-development and maintenance of .NET or similar applicationsRe-development and maintenance of Microsoft Word macro & non-macro templatesRe-development and maintenance of web-based systems, applications and reporting solutionsAssist with the detailed planning, execution, testing and documentation of application updates

Essential criteria

Experience working with Government in customer-focused service delivery, managing competing priorities, and delivering in a fast-paced change environment.2.2.
Experience in agile delivery and using JIRA and Service Now or similar.3.3.
Strong ability to work independently and be accountable for outcomesDesirable criteria

Holding an Australian Government Security Clearance is beneficial.2.2.
Accreditation in agile or technology frameworks.

Key duties and responsibilities
As a Software Engineer (Developer) - Full Stack/.NET Developer, you will be required to:
Work as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team to participate in agile ceremonies including planning and estimationWrite clean, testable, maintainable and scalable code that meets the stated acceptance criteriaCollaborate with team members and other delivery teams to achieve outcomesDevelop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)Work under limited supervisionParticipate in design, planning, and estimation sessionsWork with a range of stakeholders to develop enterprise-class software to specificationCollaborate with delivery team members to produce quality workWork within the department’s delivery frameworkSupervise and support less experienced developersGood understanding of .NET coding principles: NET Core / .NET 5,6,7,8Good understanding of .NET FrameworkGood understanding of Vue3Familiarity and ability to code with SQL ServerGood understanding of GIT
Essential criteria
1.Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced agile delivery environment to produce high quality software using an enterprise toolset and delivery framework.2.The ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person and via video conferencing.3.Demonstrated application development experience working on either high-volume transactional systems and/or complex integrated systems.4.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a flair for creating innovative solutions.5.Experience working in an Agile software development environment and experience using Agile development toolsets.Desirable criteria
