Infrastructure Engineer $240,000–$280,000 base + above-market equity Remote, United States Our client is building an AI platform that helps researchers and organizations make better decisions through large language models. They're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to own and scale the platform powering mission-critical AI workloads as the business expands its enterprise footprint. The Role This is an opportunity to become the first dedicated infrastructure hire at a fast-growing AI company. You'll own the cloud platform, improve reliability, security, and scalability, and build the infrastructure that supports high-volume AI systems serving enterprise customers. Working closely with engineering leadership, you'll have significant ownership over the platform and the freedom to shape how infrastructure evolves. What You'll Do Own and scale cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.Manage Kubernetes clusters, networking, databases, and CI/CD pipelines.Build repeatable infrastructure for enterprise and single-tenant deployments.Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.Drive security, compliance, disaster recovery, and operational readiness.Optimize infrastructure costs, performance, and capacity planning.Improve developer experience through deployment tooling and automation.Contribute to backend systems where infrastructure and application development intersect. What You'll Bring Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.Expertise operating production Kubernetes environments.Experience with AWS and familiarity with GCP.Knowledge of GitOps and modern CI/CD practices.An SRE mindset with experience improving monitoring and incident management.Experience with security, compliance, and cloud infrastructure best practices.Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to contribute to backend code.Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development and modern engineering workflows.
