Our flagship product, the SIXT Data Shop, ingests tens of millions of events daily, processes them to meet diverse consumer needs, and delivers insights through a comprehensive toolbox — from self-service batch processes to real-time ML model endpoints. YOUR ROLE AT SIXT You drive innovation by exploring and implementing the latest AWS and big data technologies to uncover hidden opportunities, enable new capabilities, and build integrations for the SIXT Data ShopYou collaborate cross-functionally with Data Engineers, BI Analysts, and Data Scientists to architect optimal solutions for diverse analytical use cases, including dashboarding, ad hoc analytics, data-as-a-product, and machine learningYou shape the Data Platform vision and roadmap by contributing your expertise, innovative ideas, and intellectual curiosityYou ensure data integrity by applying exceptional work ethics when handling sensitive customer data, maintaining the highest standards of data protectionYOUR SKILLS MATTER Education & Experience: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field and bring at least 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on data modellingData Modelling: You have proven experience designing scalable data models (dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schemas, Kimball-style methodologies) and building end-to-end automation from source systems to analytical dashboards using ELT methodologiesCloud Data Warehousing: You bring hands-on expertise with Amazon Redshift, data transformation using dbt (models, tests, macros, documentation), and orchestrating interdependent workflows with Apache AirflowAWS Data Stack: You have solid experience with the broader AWS data ecosystem (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM) supporting ingestion, storage, and transformation pipelines feeding into RedshiftAI Proficiency: You have hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic workflow automation, and ideally a solid understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems and how to leverage LLMs with contextual dataEngineering Excellence: You apply strong engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle — including agile methodologies, code reviews, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), and testing — with advanced proficiency in Python and SQL and a deep understanding of distributed systems and data storage/compute principlesWHAT WE OFFER The SIXT Lisbon Experience Two of Lisbon's most exciting hubs — Factory Lisboa in Beato and ARTs Lisboa in Parque das Nações — are where you'll find your new home base.
