QA Engineer

Role Description We're looking for a Medior QA Engineer to own quality across our active project portfolio. This is not a role where you execute test cases someone else wrote — you'll design the test approach, build the artifacts, run UAT with clients, and hold the release gate. You'll work across web applications, mobile apps, API layers, and hardware-integrated systems (RFID, scanners). You'll also get exposure to AI-powered products, where testing non-deterministic behaviour is its own discipline. What You'll Do Own the QA gate across 2–3 concurrent projects — nothing ships to a client without your sign-offDesign and write test plans, scenarios, cases, and traceability matrices from requirements that are sometimes incompleteExecute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on web, mobile (Android/iOS), and API layersManage the full defect lifecycle — report, triage, verify, closeFacilitate client UAT sessions and convert feedback into structured, actionable defectsProduce release readiness reports and feed defect data back into how we improve deliveryProgressively build automated regression coverage using PlaywrightCoach developers on testability and self-check discipline What You'll Need Must Have 3–5 years as a QA Engineer or QA Analyst, ideally in an agency, consultancy, or software house environmentProven ownership of test artifacts — test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, defect reports, test summariesHands-on manual testing across web and mobile (Android & iOS)API testing with Postman or equivalent — comfortable with REST, JSON, HTTP status codes, and auth flowsBasic SQL for direct data verificationSolid grasp of SDLC and how QA fits into iterative deliveryAbility to work from incomplete requirements and ask the right questions to close the gapWillingness to say "this is not ready" — and back it with evidenceBahasa Indonesia + functional English (written minimum) Nice to Have Test automation with Playwright (or Cypress/Selenium with willingness to move to Playwright)CI/CD integration experience (GitLab CI), SonarQube familiarityPerformance testing basics (k6, JMeter) and OWASP Top 10 awarenessExperience testing hardware-integrated systems — RFID, barcode scanners, IoTExperience testing AI/LLM-based featuresExperience running UAT with enterprise or government clientsISTQB Foundation certification What We Offer Direct ownership of the quality function — you're building it, not inheriting a rulebookBroad technical exposure: enterprise systems, retail hardware, AI products, mobileExposure to international delivery through our Japan joint ventureA team small enough that your decisions actually change how the company operatesCompetitive salary aligned to experience and automation capability
