PHP Developer

About the Role We are seeking a PHP Developer to support the delivery and enhancement of web applications in a collaborative development environment. The role involves building backend functionality, maintaining performance, and contributing to high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, participate in code reviews, contribute to process improvements, and take ownership of feature delivery across the development lifecycle. This role is available only in Iași, requires onsite presence and involves an employment contract (CIM). Responsibilities Develop and maintain web applications using PHP frameworks such as Magento, Symfony, or Zend.Build backend features based on business requirements and technical specifications.Integrate and optimise MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.Develop, consume, and document REST APIs.Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code.Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and refactor existing applications.Create and execute unit and functional tests where applicable.Apply secure coding practices and follow development standards.Collaborate with developers, designers, and product stakeholders.Participate actively in peer code reviews.Estimate tasks and deliver work within agreed timelines.Contribute to technical documentation and process improvements. Requirements At least 2 years of professional PHP development experience.Experience working independently on end-to-end feature delivery.Knowledge of PHP frameworks including Magento, Symfony, or Zend.Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.Hands-on experience with REST APIs.Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.Understanding of testing practices, including unit and functional testing.Knowledge of application security concepts such as SQL Injection, XSS, and CSRF prevention.Ability to propose technical solutions and improvements.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Excellent English, both written and spoken.
