We’re looking for a Senior SEO Strategist to drive organic growth across one or more of our product verticals. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who can combine strategic SEO thinking with strong cross-functional influence across product, content and tech teams. As part of the global SEO track in the Marketing Business Unit, you’ll act as a business owner for your vertical: defining strategy, identifying growth opportunities, building roadmaps, influencing prioritisation and helping turn ideas into measurable business results. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across marketing, content, product and development to improve visibility, user experience and performance at scale. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution and influence. You won’t just recommend what should happen - you’ll help make it happen by working across product, content and tech to unlock sustainable SEO growth. Key Job Responsibilities and Duties: Define and drive the SEO strategy for one or more business units or verticals Translate research, analysis and performance data into clear strategic priorities and actionable recommendations Build the vision and roadmap for SEO improvements across content, product features and tooling Partner closely with product, content and development teams to prioritise and deliver high-impact initiatives Act as a key point of contact for SEO direction, work prioritisation and decision-making within your vertical(s) Own performance reporting, evaluate results and use experimentation to improve outcomes Build business cases and present recommendations to stakeholders with clarity and conviction Operate as both a project manager and internal SEO consultant, helping teams move from opportunity to execution Qualifications & Skills: 5+ years of SEO experience with a strong track record of driving strategic impact Deep understanding of SEO principles and the ability to apply them in a large-scale, complex digital environment Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and aligning teams around shared priorities Solid project management skills and the ability to work independently in a global organisation Confidence communicating complex insights clearly to a wide range of audiences Experience working on large websites and scaling SEO recommendations through content, product and engineering teams Nice to haveExperience with international search engines such as Yandex, Baidu, Daum, Naver or Yahoo Japan Knowledge of Hadoop or MySQL Experience working in large e-commerce or marketplace environments Benefits & Perks - Global Impact, Personal Relevance: Booking.com’s Total Rewards Philosophy is not only about compensation but also about benefits.
