Role: Senior Java Fullstack Developer Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Experience: 8 to 10 years Buy Rate- 55K EUROS PA Primary Skills: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, React / Angular / Vue GenAI Tools: Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or equivalent Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication Role Summary Hands-on Senior Java Fullstack Developer with strong Spring Boot, microservices, REST API and frontend skills. Must actively use GenAI development tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar to improve coding, testing, refactoring and documentation. The role requires strong ownership, clean engineering practices and excellent communication. Must-Have Skills Java, OOP, collections, exception handling, design patterns and clean coding practices. Spring Boot for REST APIs, microservices, validation, logging, security basics and production-ready services. Fullstack development: React / Angular / Vue, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and responsive UI. Database skills: SQL, relational databases, JPA / Hibernate and basic performance tuning. Git, branching, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD and Agile delivery practices. Mandatory hands-on GenAI coding practice: regular use of Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or equivalent for code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, debugging, documentation and developer productivity. Excellent communication; comfortable working with client, product, QA, DevOps and distributed engineering teams. Good-to-Have Skills Cloud exposure: Azure / AWS / GCP; Docker and Kubernetes basics. Kafka / RabbitMQ or event-driven architecture exposure. OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, API security and observability tools such as ELK, Splunk, Grafana or App Insights. BFSI, insurance, fintech or enterprise SaaS domain experience. Roles and Responsibilities Design, build and maintain fullstack applications using Java, Spring Boot and modern frontend frameworks. Develop scalable REST APIs, microservices, reusable backend components and responsive UI features. Use GenAI tools responsibly to accelerate software delivery while validating generated outputs. Write clean, maintainable, secure and testable code with unit and integration test coverage. Participate in design discussions, sprint ceremonies, code reviews, releases and production issue analysis. Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps and client stakeholders; communicate status, risks and dependencies clearly. Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices. Expected Profile Hands-on fullstack engineer with backend depth in Java and Spring Boot. Owns features end-to-end from design to deployment support. Uses GenAI tools productively, responsibly and with strong engineering judgment. Strong communicator with ownership, collaboration and problem-solving mindset
