Frontend Software Engineer

The Position We are recruiting a Front End Engineer to join our Sound and Vibration software portfolio team, part of HBK's global Digital organization. In this role, you will contribute to the development of software solutions that enable engineers worldwide to acquire, analyze, and gain insights from measurement data. Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing user-facing features in our React application, working closely with Product Owners, UI/UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver high-quality software that solves real customer problems. You will work as part of a global R&D team supporting the development of our Advantage software portfolio. HBK products contribute to a variety of applications across technology sectors such as Automotive, Electric Drives & Generators, Aerospace, Energy, Material Testing, and Industrial Services. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern software architectures and AI-assisted development tools while collaborating with talented software engineers across multiple international locations. Responsibilities You will be responsible for: Designing, developing, and maintaining frontend features using React, Redux, and TypeScript.Collaborating with Product Owners and UI/UX Designers to translate requirements into working software.Working closely with backend engineers to define and consume APIs.Taking ownership of features from implementation through release.Writing automated tests and maintaining high quality coding standards.Participating in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.Contributing to frontend architecture, development practices, testing strategies, and engineering standards.Leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and learning while maintaining ownership of technical decisions.Supporting and mentoring team members through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and constructive feedback.Actively participating in Scrum ceremonies and contributing to the team's success.Contributing to engineering best practices, software quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills 2-5 years of professional experience working with React and TypeScript.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Experience with Redux or similar state management solutions.Experience integrating REST APIs.Strong understanding of modern frontend development practices, design patterns, and clean architecture.Experience with automated testing and frontend quality assurance using one or more of Playwright, Vitest, React Testing Library, or Test-Driven Development (TDD).Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.Experience using Jira and Confluence.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate across disciplines.Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools.Experience with clean code principles, code reviews, Git-based version control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices. Nice to Have Knowledge of C# and .NET.Experience with GraphQL.Experience with Azure cloud services.Experience building reusable component libraries or design systems.Experience within test and measurement, scientific software, or data-intensive applications. Danish, German, Portuguese, and/or Dutch is a plus.
