THE ROLE As a DevOps Engineer at Closinglock, you'll be a core member of our engineering team, working alongside our Senior DevOps Engineer to build and improve the infrastructure powering a security-critical fintech platform that processes billions of dollars each month. You'll collaborate closely across the team to design, build, and maintain the systems that keep Closinglock reliable, secure, and fast. You'll have a real impact on our cloud architecture, deployment pipelines, and observability stack. What You'll Do Contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, supporting high availability and performance for our platformHelp evolve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe, and frequent deployments across multiple environmentsImplement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, ensuring reproducibility and auditabilityMonitor system health, performance, and security using observability tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, PagerDuty) and respond to incidents with urgency and thoroughnessWork with containerized and orchestrated workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), supporting cluster operations and scaling strategiesCollaborate with software engineers to improve developer experience — reducing friction, improving deployment times, and contributing to self-service toolingParticipate in an on-call rotation and contribute to incident postmortems, supporting root-cause analysis and long-term reliability improvementsContribute to internal documentation and runbooks so that institutional knowledge is shared and processes are repeatable Required Qualifications WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 3-5 years of professional experience in a DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering roleStrong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch)Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar)Solid understanding of containerization and orchestrationWorking knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting (Bash)Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent)Familiarity with security best practices: secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), network segmentation, IAM policies, and encryption at rest/in transit Preferred Qualifications Experience in a fintech, payments, or regulated industry environment (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or similar compliance frameworks)Proficiency with a scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Node.jsExperience with database performance tuning and managing managed database services (Aurora, RDS)Familiarity with zero-trust networking principles and SIEM toolingAWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer Professional) Perks & Benefits At Closinglock, we invest in our employees and provide a full range of benefits and perks to help you grow and thrive.
