Senior Platform Engineer (.NET & AWS) Dublin, IE Permanent Role 4 Days onsite The Role Our client is looking for a hands-on Senior Platform Engineer to build and grow a Platform & DevOps team while remaining actively involved in architecture and development. You'll drive the platform strategy, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, security, and developer experience, working closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. Required: 7+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps-focused rolesStrong hands-on development experience with .NET Core and AngularDeep expertise in cloud platforms, with strong AWS experience across services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and related technologiesExperience designing and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as TerraformProven ability to troubleshoot, scale, and operate complex, enterprise-grade distributed systemsDemonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career developmentStrong security mindset with experience integrating security practices into CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and application architectureTrack record of improving non-functional requirements such as reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellenceComfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and building scalable solutions from the ground up within a startup or high-growth organization Responsibilities: Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools.Drive platform reliability, security, observability, and performance.Develop reusable platform components and support engineering teams.Manage team delivery, mentoring, hiring, and cross-functional collaboration. Nice to Have: Experience with internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure.Prior engineering lead or technical leadership experience is a plus.
