Senior Platform Engineer

The Role: As our new Senior Platform Engineer, you will join a team who strive to push cloud services to the maximum limit every day using cutting-edge technologies. The main responsibilities of the position include: Initiate and actively drive the adoption of good patterns, structures and use of technologies for development and operationsInvestigate and identify practices and work that can benefit from automationMonitor and suggest improvements to the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety and reliabilityImplement and coordinate implementation with the parties involvedDevelop and maintain existing /GitLab CI pipeline librariesAssist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and provide support for any issues that may ariseStay up to date with the latest tools and trends in the industryProvide senior-level, best practice recommendations and implementations to our Windows, Linux and Kubernetes hosting environmentsFunction as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical guidance and recommending continued learning opportunities to help them developEducate fellow team members as well as Application Development Teams about the platforms used-for and hosted-by our team. Key tools and concepts in this space are: Gitlab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio Service Mesh, Kubernetes , Kafka, ELKWork with our Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and ensure the security of our environments are being scrutinised as appropriate for their use caseOffer services related to the above tasks and projects to any of the Companies of the Group as instructed by the Line Manager Main requirements: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline5+ years’ experience within the following areas: Cloud ( AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell scripting, Bash/python scripting, Configuration Management and IAC (Ansible/Terraform), DNS, NetworkingEnterprise-level Kubernetes experienceSolid Linux administration skillsCommitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on observability, modern application architecture styles, blue-green / canary deployments, CI/CD pipeline managementAbility to self-motivate, study, and stay on-top of emerging technologies and trends, while meeting business deadlinesExperience with tools including: Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, New Relic The following will be considered an advantage: Familiarity with database conceptsWorking experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably AWS)Experience with Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshootingExperience with ELK configuration and troubleshootingScripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, etc.) Benefit from: Attractive remuneration package plus performance-based rewardPrivate health insuranceCorporate pension fundIntellectually stimulating work environmentContinuous personal development and international training opportunities The Hiring Experience: What Awaits You Show Your Skills – Online Technical ChallengeLet’s Connect – Intro Chat with Talent AcquisitionDeep Dive – First Interview with Your Future TeamFinal Connection – Final Interview All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality!
