Senior DevOps Engineer with Terraform and CI/CD

They are seeking a senior DevOps engineer to support automation of infrastructure and application delivery, with some SRE-related responsibilities as needed. The role is focused on improving operational efficiency, deployment consistency, and team execution within an embedded engineering environment. Context & Scope This engagement supports a DevOps team responsible for automating the delivery of infrastructure and code across a production technology environment. The work is centered on reducing manual effort, strengthening CI/CD reliability, and supporting operational needs when platform issues arise. The talent will operate as an embedded senior engineer, contributing independently while working within shifting priorities and collaborating closely with the team on automation and reliability tasks. Tasks and Deliverables Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Ansible, and CloudFormation.Design, improve, and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions for code and infrastructure delivery.Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.Standardize and roll out Terraform modules aligned with security and compliance requirements.Support migration and consolidation of build infrastructure into Kubernetes clusters.Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues across on-prem and cloud environments.Document solutions and processes to ensure clarity and continuity.Leverage AI tools to enhance DevOps workflows.Support SRE-related activities when operational needs require it.Work proactively on automation initiatives while handling reactive platform interruptions.Operate as a senior embedded team member with limited day-to-day supervision. Required Experience Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Ansible, and CloudFormation.Strong experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions.Background in DevOps with a focus on infrastructure automation and code delivery.Experience with Azure and AWS cloud environments.Kubernetes production experience.Ability to contribute to SRE-related work when needed.Senior-level engineering experience, comparable to L3/L4 scope.Ability to work independently as part of an embedded team.Strong spoken English.At least 6 hours of overlap with US business hours.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational interruptions.Ownership mindset rather than task-only execution. Nice to Have Direct SRE experience in production environments.Experience supporting infrastructure and delivery automation in healthcare or similarly regulated environments.Experience with cloud-native architectures, containerization, and API management. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree + 3–5 years experience OR High School Diploma/GED + 7–9 years experience in relevant fields.
