For our client, a company responsible for managing comprehensive digital infrastructure and software solutions, we are looking for a Software Developer (m/f/d) specialising in Refrigeration Technology / Building Automation.
This is a hybrid position with opportunities to work in the Berlin region or Baden-Württemberg.
To strengthen our development team, we are looking for a Software Developer (m/f/d) to design and implement modern automation solutions for refrigeration and building automation systems.
In this role, you will develop intelligent control and visualization solutions for refrigeration, HVAC, and building management applications.
You will also be responsible for integrating communication between field devices, controllers, and higher-level management systems.
Your key responsibilities include:
Developing software solutions for refrigeration and building automation systemsImplementing communication interfaces using industrial fieldbus protocolsDeveloping applications with JavaScript and Node-REDIntegrating Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP communicationConnecting PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other automation devicesDesigning communication logic and data modelsTroubleshooting and resolving communication issuesPerforming software testing and supporting commissioning activities
Your Profil:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical disciplineProven experience developing software for industrial automation, building automation, refrigeration, or HVAC systemsHands-on experience with JavaScript and Node-RED for automation or industrial applications.Experience integrating industrial communication protocols, particularly Modbus RTU and Modbus TCPGood understanding of industrial fieldbus communication and experience connecting PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other field devicesExperience with PLC programming, ideally using one or more of the following:Siemens (TIA Portal, STEP 7)Beckhoff (TwinCAT)WAGOB&R or comparable PLC platformsKnowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, BACnet, or OPC UA is an advantageExperience designing communication logic, data models, and troubleshooting communication issues in industrial automation environmentsUnderstanding of refrigeration technology, building automation, or HVAC systems, including energy-efficient control concepts, is highly desirableExperience with software testing and supporting system commissioning is an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and independent approach to workVery good German and English language skills
This position is offered through temporary employment (employee leasing) with an initial 9-month contract and the option of permanent employment.
The intention is to hire the successful candidate on a permanent basis after the assignment.
