Platform Engineer - Hybrid/ Woking in Surrey - Up to £60k + great package

Hawksworth are recruiting now for a Platform Engineer to join an innovative technology company developing cutting-edge cloud and connectivity solutions for the transport & motor racing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to help build secure, scalable cloud platforms while working alongside Software Engineers, Data Scientists and Site Reliability Engineers on next-generation products. Location: Woking, Surrey (Hybrid – 2 days in the office)Salary: £60k base salary plus excellent benefits including private healthcare, generous pension, flexible working and 25 days holiday. Required Key Skills: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field.Hands-on experience with Large cloud providers AWS preferredKnowledge of observability and monitoring tools e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK et AWS (or another major cloud platform)Kubernetes, Docker & Helm Terraform / Infrastructure as Code CI/CD & DevOps Excellent Programming, debugging and optimization skills in general purpose programming languages including but not limited to:Go, Python, Java, C++ or Rust Linux & cloud infrastructure experienceGreat communication skills, Engineering mind-set, Collaborative, Good problem solving skills. Desirable skills/ experience/ knowledge: Linux environmentsExperience with Helmfile or similarExperience OF IoT systems integration, protocols and services including MQTT and AWS loT Core.Understand the basic concepts of AI agent automation and orchestration You'll be involved in building secure-by-design platforms, driving automation, improving developer experience, and helping shape the future architecture of the business.
