DevOps Engineer (Platform Engineering & Security) Working Arrangement: Peterborough - 3 days per week onsite Pay Rate: £500-£520 (Inside IR35) Duration: 6 Months Initial We're supporting a large enterprise organisation as they continue to invest in platform engineering, security automation, and software delivery modernisation . This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing Platform Engineering team responsible for delivering secure, scalable and automated solutions across a complex technology estat e. The role has a strong focus on DevSecOps, security automation, access governance, CI/CD engineering and operational excellence, making it an excellent fit for someone who enjoys combining platform engineering with secure-by-design principl es. Key Responsibili ties Design, build, and enhance enterprise CI/CD platforms and automation capabilities.Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices across the software delivery lifecycle.Implement and support security controls, governance processes, and access management solutions.Integrate security scanning, compliance validation, and vulnerability management into engineering workflows.Develop automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.Support observability, monitoring, logging, and platform reliability initiatives.Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and security teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.Contribute to platform standardisation, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement initiat ives. Experience Re quired Strong background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.Experience building and supporting enterprise-scale CI/CD and automation platforms.Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and security-focused engineering practices.Experience working with modern cloud and infrastructure technologies.Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management approaches.Experience operating within large, complex, and highly governed environments.Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
