Position Overview We are looking for a pragmatic Medior / Senior Backend Developer who enjoys solving real-world problems rather than pursuing technical perfection for its own sake. You combine strong engineering fundamentals with a practical mindset, embrace AI-assisted software development where it adds value, and know how to balance scalability, maintainability and delivery speed without over-engineering. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement scalable backend solutions using modern technologies.Work on data-intensive cloud-native solutions with a strong focus on scalability and reliability.Translate user stories into pragmatic technical solutions that deliver customer value.Optimize performance and reliability for large-scale real-time data processing.Ensure the security and integrity of backend systems and data.Apply a practical, outcome-oriented approach, focusing on solving business problems effectively.Use AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude code or similar) where they improve productivity, quality and learning.Make conscious design decisions, balancing future flexibility with current business needs and avoiding unnecessary complexity or over-engineering.Challenge solutions constructively and keep designs as simple as possible while remaining robust. Required Skills and Qualifications 8+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong experience with Kotlin, Spring, Java, Git, Gradle, Github Actions, RabbitMQ and REST/JSON APIs.Experience with AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.A pragmatic engineering mindset with the ability to distinguish essential complexity from unnecessary complexity.Experience with or enthusiasm for AI-assisted software development and willingness to continuously adopt new engineering practices.Able to balance code quality, maintainability and delivery speed.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in English.
