Senior Python Software Engineer London | Hybrid (3 days per week) | Permanent We're working with an innovative fintech company that develops software used by investment management firms to automate complex reporting, document generation and client communications. Their platform is used by leading financial institutions and they're investing heavily in the next generation of their product suite. As part of a small, highly collaborative engineering team, you'll have genuine influence over architecture, technical direction and product development. This is an opportunity to work on greenfield features as well as enhance an established platform, taking ownership from design through to production. What you'll be doing Designing, building and maintaining scalable backend applications in PythonDeveloping new product features from concept through to productionWorking closely with Product and stakeholders to shape technical solutionsBuilding and consuming RESTful APIsContributing to architecture and engineering best practicesImproving application performance, scalability and reliabilityParticipating in code reviews and mentoring where appropriateWorking across the full software development lifecycle in a collaborative product environment Tech Stack PythonDjangoPostgreSQLAWSREST APIsDockerGitCI/CD We're looking for someone with Strong commercial experience developing applications in PythonCommercial Django experienceExperience building scalable backend applications and APIsExperience working on SaaS or product-focused platformsStrong SQL and relational database knowledgeFamiliarity with AWS or other cloud platformsA collaborative approach and a passion for writing clean, maintainable codeExperience working within Agile engineering teams Nice to have FastAPI or FlaskExperience within fintech or financial servicesExposure to AI or machine learning integrationsExperience designing scalable software architectures Why apply?
