Software Engineers Are you a backend engineer looking to work on cutting-edge cloud security solutions with a company that counts NASA as a client? My client is a rapidly scaling unicorn software company operating in the Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) space, helping organisations secure their cloud infrastructure through real-time data insights. Now fully embedded within both AWS and Azure as a core security solution, they are becoming a critical part of how enterprises secure their cloud environments. Backed by a recent £250 million investment, they’re in major growth mode—building out their Belfast engineering hub with some of the best talent in the market. What’s in it for you? Salary: £50–120k (DOE)Hybrid working: 3 days onsite in one of the best office spaces in Northern IrelandTech stack: Go, Java (open to engineers from any high-performing language with cross-training provided)Work on highly complex, real-world cloud security challengesJoin a true engineering-led culture with no egos or politics—just strong collaborationBe part of a high-growth unicorn with genuine long-term career progression The Role As a Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for: Owning the full development lifecycle – from design and development through to deployment and monitoringMaking technical and architectural decisions that impact high-scale cloud security platformsImproving the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systemsConducting design and code reviews to maintain high engineering standardsCollaborating closely with Frontend, DevOps, and Security teams About You You’re a great fit if you have: 4+ years of backend development experience in any high-performing languageExperience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Exposure to data-intensive systems (databases, messaging, event-driven systems, etc.)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practicesExperience working within microservices architectures Bonus Skills (Desirable, not essential) Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, or TimescaleDBUnderstanding of cloud security principles and best practices What’s It Like to Work Here?
