Your role We are looking for a Product Engineer to join our team. Whether you are a Senior Engineer ready to bring immediate architectural value, or a high-potential Junior Engineer eager to be developed and mentored according to our engineering standards, we want to hear from you. What is a Product Engineer at Salv? You are the engine of how we ship customer value. You go far beyond writing code to meet a specification. You take end-to-end ownership of problems, working directly with Product Managers to understand what should be built, why it matters, and how to deliver it reliably. Your Main Responsibilities End-to-End Ownership: Take features from scoping and design through to implementation, testing, CI/CD, and release. You own the correctness, quality, and operability of what you ship.Performance Optimization: Identify and eliminate bottlenecks and choke-points. Optimize data structures to decrease latency and improve throughput in a data-heavy environment.Collaborative Scoping: Work closely with Product Managers and peers to shape problems before writing code. Clarify requirements, surface trade-offs, and push back when an alternative approach serves the customer better.Proactive Communication: Write clear technical proposals, give and receive high-quality code reviews, and keep the team aligned on progress and risks via Slack, Notion, or project tickets. What Your Day Will Look Like Product development (~80% of your time): Driving new product development, building impactful features, and delivering infrastructure upgrades.Operability & support (~20% of your time): Essential tasks like bug fixes, support, and participating in our on-call rotation to ensure timely incident response. About Us Our mission is to beat financial crime, and we help our clients to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud. We are expanding our business in Europe. Your profile Whether you are a Senior Engineer ready to bring immediate architectural value, or a high-potential Junior Engineer eager to be developed and mentored to our engineering standards, we want to hear from you.The "Get Things Done" mindset: A relentless focus on productivity and customer impact. You know how to unblock yourself and drive a problem to its final resolution. The ability to move fast but tread carefully, understanding that in a B2B space dedicated to fighting financial crime, system stability is paramount. A sneak peek into our tech stack: We use a modern, robust tech stack designed for high throughput and absolute stability. You should have experience with, or a strong desire to master: Core stack: Recent versions of Kotlin, JDK, Spring Boot, and React.Data & infrastructure: PostgreSQL. AWS, especially CloudWatch, and ElasticSearch knowledge is highly beneficialEngineering practices: CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, ArgoCD), Grafana & Prometheus for observability, automated testing, and clean code architecture. What Skills Will Make You Successful Our philosophy on LLMs & AI: we are not an "AI-first" company by label, but we heavily leverage LLMs across our entire workflow to maximize efficiency. We expect engineers to use these tools smartly, with a few ground rules: Accountability stays with you: LLMs are powerful assistants, but you are the final author and the one responsible for the code's correctness. No blind trust: It takes technical experience to evaluate LLM proposals on both a conceptual and code level. We look for engineers who use LLMs critically, not blindly copy-pasting or "token maxxing"Mindful communication: Whether you are generating code comments, documentation on a Notion page, or a Slack update, always ensure the output is tailored, clear, and readable for the human on the receiving end. What’s in it for you? Beat financial crime: You will be part of our growing international team of industry leaders and fincrime professionals fighting for the same cause.Embrace new challenges: Freedom comes with responsibility. At Salv you will have both β€” the opportunity to tackle new and exciting challenges and learn from them.Get the support you need: You don't have to face new challenges alone. Our team is full of mission-driven, kind-hearted people.Competitive package: We dream big. Besides a generous options package that every member of the team receives, the approximate gross monthly salary for this role is €3,000–€6,000, with the exact final offer reflecting your experience and seniority.
