Summary

A software engineering role developing secure AI frameworks for regulated environments. The position involves Rust development, safe execution systems, AI-assisted engineering workflows, compliance-focused architecture, and performance optimization.

Highlights

Opportunity to build advanced AI infrastructure focused on security, compliance, explainability, and high-assurance software engineering.

Description

A well-funded AI engineering organisation is hiring a Software Engineer to work on a new AI framework built for stringent control and compliance in highly regulated sectors (financial services, healthcare). It’s a core part of a broader high-assurance programme, designed to make AI systems safe to use where accuracy, explainability, and accountability are hard requirements — built in Rust for memory safety and performance, with mathematical proof of correct outputs, sandboxed execution, and intelligent filtering. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain core components of the framework using idiomatic RustDevelop secure execution environments, multi-model validation pipelines, and filtering systems to prevent data leakage and policy violationsUse LLMs, AI agents, and coding copilots extensively to write, test, and refactor codeArchitect systems that integrate safely with foundation models, meeting strict compliance and governance requirementsReview AI-generated code for security, performance, and correctness; build CI/CD optimised for AI-assisted workflowsTranslate compliance protocols into production-ready software What They’re Looking For Proven Rust experience, strong systems programming and secure coding practicesDirect, high proficiency using LLMs/AI agents for development (e.g. Cursor, Copilot, autonomous coding agents)Familiarity with enterprise AI deployment challenges (security, regulatory risk, auditability)Strong debugging skills, optimising for latency, safety, and scalability Nice to have: regulated-industry background (finance, banking, healthcare), formal verification/applied cryptography/verifiable compute, sandboxing tech (Wasm, VMs, containers), open-source Rust contributions.
