Location: London, UK (Hybrid-3days/week)
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Rates: 59.98 GBP/Hr Gross on PAYE (OR) 78.75 GBP/Hr Gross on Umbrella
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced C# / .NET Developer to join a technology team supporting critical Financial Services platforms, with a strong focus on Risk Management and/or Securities Lending domains.The role involves designing, building, and supporting high-performance systems used for risk calculations and trading/financing workflows.You will work closely with quants, risk managers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver robust, scalable solutions in a regulated environment.Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain C# / .NET applications supporting Risk or Securities Lending platformsBuild and consume RESTful APIs to integrate with upstream/downstream systemsImplement scalable, testable, and maintainable object-oriented code following best practicesContribute to risk workflows including exposure calculations, limits, and reportingWork with large data sets and high throughput systems typical of financial servicesParticipate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessionsCollaborate with cross functional teams (Risk, Front Office, Operations, Compliance)Support production systems and assist with incident analysis and remediationRequired Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET (.NET Core / .NET)Excellent Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills and design principlesProven experience designing and implementing APIs (REST / JSON)Solid understanding of application architecture, performance, and scalabilityExperience with SQL databases (e.g.
SQL Server)Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelinesFinancial Services Domain Knowledge (Essential)
Experience working in Financial Services technology environmentsStrong domain knowledge in at least one of: o Risk Management o Securities Lending / Prime Brokerage o Collateral, Margin, or Financing platformsRisk & Regulatory Experience (Highly Beneficial)
Exposure to risk and regulatory methodologies such as: o RWA (Risk Weighted Assets) o CCAR o Basel III / Basel IV frameworksUnderstanding of credit risk, counterparty exposure, or capital calculations is a strong advantage
