Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team! Specifically, we are looking for an engineer with a strong background in analytics development and a desire to learn Pig and PySpark. Qualifications 7 Years of relevant experienceB.S. in related field (an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a B.S.) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Heavily involved in the creation, maintenance, and running of Pig and or PySpark analytics and responsible for reviewing data ingest tickets and merge requests with other developers on the teamFocused on delivering reliable, accurate data to the end users as well as ensuring that day-to-day operations are successful, including being able to investigate data arriving accurately into the systemAnalyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirementsDebug existing software and correct defectsProvide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standardsDesign and code new software or modify existing software to add new featuresIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environmentsDevelop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositoriesWrite or review software and system documentationDesign or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queriesDevelop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standardsAssist with developing and executing test procedures for software componentsDevelop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areasModify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performanceDesign, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design Required: Strong background in analytics developmentDesire to learn Pig / PySpark Desired: Patch management and IAVA trackingPythonJavaScalaNiFiAnsibleExperience working in Agile environment
