The Role 📍Hybrid in London - 3 Days Senior Software Engineer within a fast-growing startup environment. We are looking for someone to own features and systems from discovery through to production and ongoing iteration. The team works in short, high-accountability sprint cycles and expects engineers to take real ownership from day one. The engineering culture is pragmatic and collaborative. Strong engineers here progress quickly, take on meaningful responsibility early, and have a direct impact on the products they build. What You Will Bring Senior level experience as a software engineer with strong hands-on coding ability across the stackProven ability to ship and maintain production software in a fast-moving product environmentDemonstrated pragmatism in engineering decisions, knowing when to refactor, when to ship, and when to leave well aloneStrong engineering fundamentals applied to complex, evolving production codebasesA clear ownership mindset and the ability to translate business requirements into clean, proportionate technical solutions without over-engineeringSuccessful experience mentoring or supporting the development of other engineersStrong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across product and engineering teamsThe ability to pick up new concepts, technologies, and domain knowledge quickly when requiredComfort jumping into live codebases and adapting to existing product culture and engineering standardsEnergy for rapid iterative delivery cycles rather than resistance to them Bonus Points Experience with modern backend frameworks (e.g. Node.js, Python/Django, or similar)Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)A background in product-focused engineering environmentsExperience working in a startup or scale-up environment The Company Our client is a product-led technology business operating in a high growth, fast-paced sector.
