Software Developer (React / Next.js)

McCosker Contracting is seeking a Software Developer to join our team working in our Brisbane office. About The Role Monday to Friday roster 42 hours per week 12 month contract, with potential for ongoing work This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development and maintenance of the internal business systems that support McCosker's operations. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of IT professionals, building and integrating software solutions that improve the efficiency and reliability of technology across the business. To Be Successful You Will Have Experience developing web applications using Next.js and React Experience building back-end services and APIs using Node.js Experience writing and optimising SQL queries and working with relational databases Experience using Git for version control Experience using Docker for building and deploying applications Excellent understanding of software development principles and best practice Able to effectively communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders The Following Skills / Experience Will Be Highly Advantageous Experience managing MSSQL databases Experience integrating with or supporting ERP systems Experience scripting with PowerShell Knowledge of the civil construction industry About You Critical analysis and problem-solving skills Use of confidentiality, and discretion when dealing with people Able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders Self-motivated in the completion of tasks Able to manage time effectively, using strong organisational skills Capable of accurate, detailed work Lead by example, acting ethically and with integrity Treat all people with respect Desire to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve goals Actively comply with legislation and related policies, procedures, and processes Perform tasks only when competent to do so under the circumstances Communicate effectively and maintain a positive image Join the McCosker team At McCosker we are focused on developing our workforce, giving back to the community and safeguarding our natural environment.
