Job DescriptionAs a Paddock Steward you will be responsible for looking after the Greyhound dogs before during and after their race. Reporting to the Paddock Manager you will be part of the Racing Team, who will assist the paddock services for the Stadium to maintain the effective delivery of the greyhound racing product whilst implementing procedures and operate to standards which ensure the integrity and safety of greyhounds and handlers. Salary is £13.00 per hour. Are you ready to launch a winning career? What you will do Ensure that no unlicensed person is allowed access to the paddock.Ensure all greyhounds are checked by a veterinary surgeon prior to racing or trialing.Ensure all Greyhounds are placed and locked in correct kennels.Ensure all greyhounds are presented in the correct racing jackets for each race.Check all greyhounds earmarks, muzzles and jackets before parade leaves paddock.On Instruction from Racing Manager advise the Veterinary surgeon of any Greyhound to be checked for injury.Ensure Greyhounds are sent out to parade in good time before the "off".Check identity books for Greyhounds which require inoculation booster and advise Veterinary surgeon of any which are overdue.Ensure that all equipment in the paddock area is working safely and is compliant with manufacturer's guidelines for operation, reporting any concerns to the
