Senior Software Engineer (Kotlin, Kafka, React)

Millions of shopping decisions rely on data flowing reliably through idealo's platform every day. In this role, you'll build and evolve the systems that enable our marketing channels with high-quality product and offer data, ensure accurate billing of paid traffic, and provide reliable tracking that makes marketing initiatives measurable.You'll work across the full stack using Kotlin, TypeScript, React, Kafka and AWS while taking ownership of services from design to production. When a feature goes live and runs smoothly, you see the direct impact of your work.About your new roleLead the development of our latest frontend application while contributing across the full stack.Design, implement and maintain robust, scalable microservices using Kotlin, TypeScript and related technologies.Take end-to-end ownership of your services - from architecture and implementation to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.Shape our technical direction through architecture decisions, technical design reviews and the long-term evolution of our platform.Improve our engineering platform by advancing CI/CD pipelines, observability and Infrastructure as Code practices.Collaborate closely with marketing and engineering teams across idealo to deliver reliable tracking and billing systems while continuously raising engineering quality through clean code, testing, pair programming, code reviews, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
