About The Role We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team at GrabJobs. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that automate and optimize our clients' operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, data analysts, and client stakeholders, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient systems. Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MSSQL is required, along with experience working with cloud services, primarily AWS. Knowledge of Git for version control, building ETL processes, and designing flexible data structures is crucial. Additional skills in Laravel Vapor, htmx, and Tailwind CSS are advantageous but not mandatory. Non-technical qualifications include excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively within a small team, and strong project planning and scoping abilities. Candidates should demonstrate creativity in developing innovative solutions, a proactive approach to identifying bugs and performance opportunities, and flexibility in working with diverse systems, including legacy code and IoT devices. A passion for building reliable and high-performance client systems is essential, along with a willingness to occasionally travel or visit the office in Chicago, IL.
