Role Description In this role, the Software Engineer II/III – Web Team will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining Cold Bore Technology’s internal and client-facing web software platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for building high-quality, reliable software components, contributing to continuous integration and delivery practices, and ensuring the scalability and performance of Cold Bore’s web-based and connected (IIoT) systems. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Software Engineering, Product Management, and Operations, to deliver solutions that enhance Cold Bore’s digital ecosystem and drive innovation across the organization. Key Responsibilities Participate in agile development cycles, including estimating effort and complexity of new features and tasksWrite, integrate, and maintain software code for web and back-end systems, following industry best practices.Ability to design, implement, integrate and deliver full product features within the web application’s team scope.Develop and maintain automated test strategies and frameworks to ensure software reliability and performance.Support the deployment, monitoring, and operation of Cold Bore’s web and edge (IIoT) platforms.Lead projects or technical initiatives, including gathering requirements, setting timelines, and communicating milestones.Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring code meets team quality standards and is robust, maintainable, and scalable.Actively contribute to code reviews, documentation, and team knowledge sharing.Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, standards, and tools. Qualifications & Skills 3-7 years of experience in web/mobile application development.Proficiency in JavaScript.Familiarity with web frameworks, preferably React.Experience with version control and automated testing tools.Knowledge of web services, APIs, and cloud platforms.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and learningStrong SQL skills (PostgreSQL or similar)Experience using Docker and/or Kubernetes in a production environmentProficiency with Git and collaborative code review workflowsComfortable working in a Linux-based environmentProficiency with Git and collaborative code review workflowsExperience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests Nice to have Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.Event-driven or message-based architectures (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.)Experience with distributed systems or high-throughput data pipelinesFamiliarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting toolsInfrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Helm, etc.)Python for scripting, services, or data processingHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
